Teaching Involvement
We are a GP training practice which means that each year we have young doctors working in the practice who are training to be GPs. They are fully qualified doctors with three to four years post-qualification hospital experience. There are also Foundation 2 doctors who are also fully qualified and are in their second post qualification year. Appointments with these doctors can be booked just like any other doctor appointment. Trainees all have a GP partner as clinical supervisor who is available whenever trainees are consulting. As part of their training consultations are sometimes videoed with your consent. Videos are an important teaching aid for consultation skills.
The practice is linked to Guys, Kings, St Thomas’s and University College’s Medical Schools. You may be asked to see a medical student under supervision with your consent.
