NHS e-Referral Service
The NHS e-Referral Service (e-RS) combines electronic booking with a choice of place, date and time for first hospital or clinic appointments. Patients can choose their initial hospital or clinic appointment, book it in the GP surgery at the point of referral, or later at home on the phone or online.
What is e-Referral Service (e-RS)?
The e-Referral Service, also known as e-RS, allows you to book your initial outpatient appointment at your hospital of choice. Booking your appointment online is safe, easy and secure.
How does e-RS work?
All you need is the booking reference number stated on your booking letter, and the password received from your referrer (e.g. your GP practice). Once logged in you can select your appointment from a list of hospitals and available dates.
