Volunteers Needed for COVID Vaccination Hub
Based at Suite 1, Waldron Health Centre, New Cross, London SE14 6LD
The COVID vaccination hub are looking for volunteers for vaccinating, administration (updating patients medical records while they are being vaccinated) and for stewards.
All roles will be provided with full training.
DBS clearance is also mandatory, but arranged by the COVID clinic.
The COVID vaccination hub are encouraging all the volunteers to use an app called 'lantum' which allocates roles and volunteers for each session.
The COVID vaccination hub are particularly short on volunteer stewards at this moment in time and they are split into:
-front door (registering patients on arrival and finding their paperwork)
-corridor duties/shepherding patients
-monitoring patients in the observation room after they have been vaccinated.
A typical clinic is either a morning or afternoon when they can see up to 400-500 patients in one session.
They ask the volunteers to attend from 8.30 - 13.30 or 13.30 - 18.30 depending on the clinic running.
It is OK if you cannot attend a full session and they would still encourage you to come along for any time you can spare.
Most weeks they are running clinics on Wed-Sat mornings and also some afternoons, depending on demand.
